Located in one of the most valuable locations of Istanbul, the Çiftçi Towers Project consists of two sophisticated 45-storey towers designed to ensure that every one of its 288 apartments, with a minimum size of 221m2, opens onto spacious 3.15m height rooms overlooking Bosphorus. The project includes 10.000 m² of office on the first 10 floors, approximately 84.000 m² of residences on top, 68.000 m² of commercial area of which 39.500m2 of shopping mall located beneath the office floors, warehouse and technical floor areas and parking lot with the capacity of 2.500 car. The acoustic design included the assessment of the façade sound insulation to control the environmental noise and the helicopter noise from the heliport located on the roof of the Towers, as well as the internal sound insulation between the retails and the residential spaces and between the residential and the office spaces. Special acoustic design has been reserved to areas such as the Pool and the Pool equipment room to control noise and vibration generated by the units within the equipment room which could be transferred to the adjacent apartments and restaurants and to control the so called “tub-effect” from the pool. In addition to the above areas, the technical rooms located on a floor between residential ones, have been designed to control noise egress through the façade louvres and the floors and to prevent potential flanking path through the façade mullions. Building services noise has been address to avoid noise transmission to external noise sensitive receivers located in the surroundings as well as to internal areas through the buildings’ envelope.
